What is your opinion of the current opportunities for you to engage with Parliament?
They're poor. My MP doesn't respond to my emails. There's no update on the epetitions website about the outcome from successful petitions. I've not seen this request for input (including how to improve digital inclusion) on anything other than the web.
How effective are online petitions as a means of getting involved in politics?
It's a good way of seeing if others agree. The e-petitions site has not got enough publicity. Petitions from other sites should be treated the same (i.e. if over a certain number of signatures, it should be debated.)
Would crowd-sourcing be a useful addition to the consultative process?
Yes but they need to shape the terms of reference, not just validate decisions that have already been made / options that are desired.
